The Boulevard Phase 2 Returns. Gains Hotel

The Boulevard development in Richmond Heights will once again include a hotel component.

New marketing materials by the L3 Corporation show that a 5-story, 128 room Aloft Hotel will be built as part of Phase 2. Plans also include 128 apartments, 115,00sf of office space, 43,384sf of retail space, and 779 parking spaces. The Aloft Hotel will be the second in the region behind the one at Cortex.

A change in the general layout of the Boulevard plan has also been made. No longer will the little north-south street that runs through the development continue down to Antler Drive. It'll stop shortly after you turn in off of Darst Court. The remainder of the stretch will be a pedestrian plaza with the Aloft Hotel bookending the plaza. This change was likely made due to the fact that a Waterway Carwash will replace the old Brentwood Burger King, making a pedestrian connection to that area unnecessary.

Marketing documents say that the project should be completed by 2024 meaning that we could see construction start some time this year. Judging by the architecture firm previously involved in the planning and design of phase 2, I'd say that TRi Architects will remain the architect for this project. No word on the cost of or contractor for the development.

I'll keep everyone updated once new renderings come out.
