Notes: 7 Floor Hotel Planned at 1695 S. Hanley

The Whelen Security and Post Holdings building near Menards, Houlihan's, Lion's Choice and the Home Depot could be demolished if plans by Equis Hospitality Group are approved.

An April 1st public hearing is scheduled for the project at the City of Brentwood Board of Aldermen at 7:30PM. The meeting will be to discuss the site plan and an amendment to the Conditional Use Permit (CUP) on the property. The brand is expected to be a Marriott Townplace Suites hotel. It will be 7 Floors in height.

No word on whether the project will front Hanley or sit at the back of the property. We will find out come April 1st.

The Townplace Suites hotel becomes the third Marriott branded hotel between Interstate 64 and Strassner drive. The other two are the Springhill Suites at Hanley Station (next door) and the Courtyard at Dale and Hanley (which open later this Spring).

Post holdings will move into a new building within the same area pending final city approvals.
