Condos continue to be proposed and built in Clayton, especially along Topton Way, by the Mehlman family.
Located at the southeast corner of Maryland and Topton Way, the site, which is currently home to a surface parking lot, has a new proposal for a 6-story condo building with retail space and 29 condos.
The 29 condos will range in size from 2470sf to 3150sf. Floors 2 through 5 will have 6 units per floor while the 6th floor will be home to 5 condos. The first floor will house 5689sf of retail space and 36 parking spaces for retail tenants and visitors. The building's basement will feature 63 parking space, all of which will be for condo owners.
Core10, which is based in the Central West End, is the architect for the project. They have quite a bit of experience in Clayton in recent years with several new condo buildings baving been proposed and constructed as well as the headquarters for M1 Bank. The firm is also behind the new condo buildings that have been built in Downtown Kirkwood.

The Mehlmans have developed several smaller condo buildings in Clayton as well and continue to be partners with Core10.
The City of Clayton has yet to set a time for the project to be heard at the planning commission or architectural review board. The proposal at Maryland and Topton is the latest new construction condo building proposed since "Forsythia" was proposed a few blocks east.
A development cost and timeline have not yet been disclosed.
