Phase 2 of the Sunnen Station apartments in Maplewood is now underway.
The building will rise near the Sunnen Blue Line MetroLink station and join Phase 1, which was completed in 2017. According to Holland Construction Services, which is the contractor on the project, Phase 2 will include 121 apartment units and a 187 space precast parking garage.
Phase 1 was designed by Forum Studio, which is now known as the Lamar Johnson Collaborative, so I assume that Phase 2 is being designed by the same architect. The current complex includes 174 luxury apartments and is one of the St. Louis area's first true Transit Oriented Developments. And while TODs have improved since then, it's always good to see additional TODs show up.
I do not have a cost to share for this Phase.
