This project which was announced a few years ago has been completed. Like so many Catholic and public schools it closed about 15 years ago. The building, converted to apartments, is a handsome one, classic in design with perfect symmetry, very different from the Ittner-designed public schools. The entrance of the building is perfectly centered with the fenestration identical on both sides of the four story structure which is faced with a rusticated white stone. It stands just behind St. Pius V Church (visible at the right of the photograph), on Utah just of South Grand in the Tower Grove neighborhood. It's called "La Maison," perhaps a nod to the French heritage of St. Louis.
