Heavy Riff Brewing to Expand to Northampton

Rendering by JEMA.

Dogtown-based Heavy Riff Brewing Company is planning to expand into the Northampton Neighborhood.

The planned 20,000sf expansion of the brewery will include a restaurant and new brewing facility. The development will cost about $4.2 Million. The brewery's development is dependent on a tax abatement being issued by the city, valued at 75% for 10 years, in addition to a community improvement district on site, which would collect a 1% sales tax for 10 years. The brewery expansion is expected to add 50 full-time workers.

JEMA is the architect on the project.

The site the brewery is proposed at is 4967 Fyler Avenue, which is located West of Kingshighway. To be more specific, this is behind the QuikTrip on Kingshighway at Fyler. The site is currently vacant.

Despite the new brewery development, Heavy Riff will retain their Dogtown location. This project would simply be an expansion.
