This project is a mixture of both a concept and an actual development. According to Killeen Studio, the concept will be high-rise buildings overlooking St. Louis Missouri from the East Riverfront while the actual plan will be a redevelopment plan for several acres adjacent to the Riverfront. This thread is meant to be a place where all things related to this project and concept can be discussed.

I wonder where the demand is going to come from for this proposal. Obviously I would love to see the East St. Louis riverfront developed. I see boating canals in this rendering. I definitely think it would have to be an either regional or national draw to be successful. Something completely unique to the region. Maybe a possible expansion of the Casino Queen as a casino resort?
woah.
It looks a lot like Las Colinas in Irving, TX or maybe the canal districts in Indy, San Antonio, and Oklahoma City.
@JB, the rendering you shared was of a project that never made it off of the drawing board. I Am East St. Louis Magazine knew about that, but no one else did from my understanding.
Here is a quick story I wrote just now about all this.

Why would someone develop in a flood plain? It's going to get flooded....
