This project will replace a 1890s building at Clark and Broadway adjacent to Busch Stadium. The nearly 300 unit building has brought much controversy since it's unveiling in December 2017. If completed the building will be the second tallest residential only building in the City and the tallest residential only building in Downtown St Louis.
Developer: CA Ventures, White Oak Realty Partners
Architect: HDA
Builder: Paric
Height: 337FT
Floors: 32
Cost: $100 Million
Construction Begin: TBD
Construction End: 2021
What are the chances this happens?
Very low. Unless the building is bought soon by the original team, this may be dead. And if they do buy it, I see the building being made shorter. We should learn more in the Spring.
@Chris Stritzel let's hope it happens. Thanks
I am shocked this did not come to fruition, especially how BPV's One Cardinal Way leasing is going. I have a little birdie that OCW is well over 50% pre-leased. Did we ever figure out what exactly happened with this deal? It's a shame, but gives me hopes that Cordish will build a OCW 2 since this deal died.
I would almost rather have this tower instead of a OCW 2. It would show people that our downtown's renaissance is not just held up by Ballpark Village. That being said, I don't think this plan is completely dead. If it does come back, I hope they choose a different location. There are several empty lots immediately surrounding the stadium.
This project is dead by all means. The building itself is setting itself up well for Lofts or a hotel so I would expect one of those to come out of it.
It died because the development partners were dragging their feet and thought they had all the time in the world.
The building is being acquired by a new entity that gets things done. They've developed projects in the Central West End and Soulard. If you know who they are, go ahead. I didn't say it first. :)
