The first hotel in the Cortex District is going to be the region's first Aloft Hotel. At 5 floors, it will fit in nicely with the neighboring buildings and continue the street wall on Forest Park Avenue. The design is not that nice with tacky colorful panels on it along with too much white façade. A darker colorway should've been chosen for this project, butt hat's my opinion only.

I wouldn’t be too concerned about the tackiness seen in the renderings. The color scheme is Aloft’s signature design with just a handful deviating from this design. It will look fine and consistent with structures in the Cortex area when it’s done. Now, at night, if the developed chooses to utilize the neon lighting that some Alofts have on the exterior of the building, it might not look very sophisticated after sundown.
Hopefully, from the way you are describing it, this turns out better than the rendering.
Footings are in place. I'll have to stop by to get a picture but they are there.
You can see the footings peeking out of the rocks. This is moving fairly slowly.
Do you happen to have any updates?
I added one just now
Awesome, thanks! The rendering's look like it will fit right in with everything else in the cortex.
I'll post a picture tomorrow, the structure is topped out and work is continuing on the façade.
